Established Oct 2012 and is headed up by Nev Kirby MSc MCIOB who previously led the Building Department of the National Trust in Yorkshire and the North East for 18 years as Regional Building Manager. During his time at the National Trust he took responsiblilty for the condition , repair and upkeep of over 4000 built structures including many Grade 1 and 2* iconic listed structures .
Major Project works undertaken have included the reroof and reservicing at Wallington Hall . The full rewire of Cragside House , the first house in Britain to be lit by electric power, and the full refurbishment of Gibside Stable Block .
Many condition surveys and repair specifications and schedules have been satisfactorally undertaken ,including the condition survey including full repairs schedule and acquisition strategy relating to Seaton Delaval Hall which was recently successfully aquired by the National Trust .
Probably more importantly ,however ,he ensured all public attractions in the area are maintained to the very highest standards ,compliant and ensuring all are fit for purpose and run in a sustainable way .
Now Nev brings his skills, vast knowledge and experience to his own business specialising in all aspects of Building Surveying with particular emphasis on the Heritage sector and conservation .
Current clients include The National Trust,The Belsay Trust,Matfen Estates and Hall, The North of England Civic Trust, The Auckland Project and many Northern Consultancy firms .
